Security Summary

CVE-2025-24688 is an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation vulnerability, classified as CWE-79, enabling Reflected Cross-site Scripting (XSS) in the WP Mailster WordPress plugin (wp-mailster) developed by brandtoss. This issue affects all versions of the plugin from n/a through 1.8.20.0, as published on 2025-02-14.

The vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers with network access, requiring low attack complexity, no privileges, and user interaction such as visiting a malicious link. Exploitation reflects attacker-controlled input into web pages, allowing arbitrary JavaScript execution in the victim's browser context with a changed scope. This results in low impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability, yielding a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (High).
