Description

Adversaries may take advantage of security vulnerabilities and inherent functionality in browser software to change content, modify user-behaviors, and intercept information as part of various browser session hijacking techniques.

Security Summary

CVE-2025-28911 is an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation vulnerability, classified as Reflected Cross-site Scripting (XSS) under CWE-79, in the Gravity 2 PDF (gf2pdf) WordPress plugin. This issue affects all versions from n/a through 3.1.3, allowing malicious input to be reflected without proper sanitization during web page generation.

The vulnerability can be exploited by unauthenticated remote attackers (AV:N/PR:N) with low attack complexity (AC:L), though it requires user interaction (UI:R), such as clicking a malicious link. Successful exploitation changes the scope (S:C), enabling arbitrary JavaScript execution in the victim's browser context and resulting in low impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability (C:L/I:L/A:L), as reflected in its CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1.
